Our Story
Our story began in 1997, when Rick and Kathy Milliron founded United Transportation Services, also known as UTS Nationalease. Built on hard work, strong relationships, and a commitment to dependable service, the company quickly established itself as a trusted partner in the transportation industry.
After more than two decades of leadership, Rick and Kathy retired in 2021 and passed the business on to Michael Smith, who continued its legacy under the name Valley Trailer & Truck. With a focus on maintaining quality service while guiding the company through a new chapter, Mike carried the business forward until his own retirement in 2025.
Today, the company operates as Intermountain Trailer & Truck under the ownership of Questor Corp. While the name has evolved over the years, our foundation remains the same; delivering reliable solutions, building lasting customer relationships, and honoring the values that have guided us since the beginning.
Meet The Team
Chris Johnston
General Manager
Chris is the General Manager and a driving force behind the company’s continued success. With 24 years of dedicated service, he brings deep industry knowledge, steady leadership, and a commitment to excellence in everything he does. A proud Navy veteran, Chris carries forward the values of discipline, teamwork, and integrity into his role each day.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys making the most of his time with his wife Carolynne and their dog Otis. Whether he’s out riding his Harley, spending weekends camping, hitting the golf course, or traveling to new destinations, he values both adventure and quality time. His passion for both his professional and personal life reflects in the positive energy and leadership he brings to the team.
Aspen Lootens
Fleet Operations Manager
Aspen is the friendly, reliable voice customers come to know and trust. Growing up in Kuna, she developed a strong sense of community, complemented by the dedication and work ethic she gained as a Navy veteran, which she brings to every interaction. With seven years at the company, Aspen plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly while ensuring every customer feels taken care of from start to finish. She genuinely enjoys connecting with people and takes pride in making others happy and bringing a smile to their day.
Outside of work, Aspen enjoys spending time with her husband and embracing the outdoors. Whether camping, fishing, attending concerts, heading to rodeos, or relaxing at the beach, she makes the most of every moment. She’s also an avid animal lover, caring for a lively crew that includes three dogs, two cats, and six Highland cows; and she’d likely have even more if her husband didn’t keep her in check.
